Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Upon arrival at Marrakech Airport, a short drive will take us to our joining hotel where we will stay for the night. If you arrive early, you might want to explore the old medina with its narrow alleyways and the famous Djamaa El Fna square.

Day 2: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

This morning, we embark on a journey crossing the High Atlas Mountains to the historic village of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and backdrop for many international films such as "Gladiator," "Prince of Persia," and "Game of Thrones." Next, we visit Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of North Africa," before passing through the picturesque Roses Valley, famous for its Damaskina Roses and annual harvest festival. We will stay the night in Boumalen Dades.

Day 3: Dades Valley - Toudra Gorge - Merzouga

After breakfast, we head east towards the Sahara, passing the stunning Toudra Gorges, known as the Grand Canyon of Morocco. We continue to Erfoud, famous for fossils and fossilized marble. Our journey then takes us to the Sahara Desert, where we transfer to camels for a ride to our Berber camp. For those unable to ride camels, a 4WD option is available. Enjoy free time before dinner. Overnight in Desert Camp.

Day 4: Merzouga - Fes

After breakfast and a shower at the Berber camp, we drive through Errachidia and the lush Ziz Valley, renowned for its date palms. Crossing the High and Middle Atlas Mountains, we arrive in Fes, the oldest capital of Morocco.

Day 5: Fes

Today, we take a guided tour of Fes, the largest medieval city in the world. Explore the bustling medina, home to 400,000 inhabitants, with only donkeys and bikes as transportation. Discover mosques (entry for Muslims only), palaces, dye-pits, tanneries, pottery workshops, and local restaurants. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal and live entertainment, including traditional dancing, belly dancing, and magicians.

Day 6: Fes - Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we drive to Chefchaouen, the famed "Blue City" nestled in the Rif Mountains. Explore the white and blue washed walls of the medina and vibrant markets offering unique handicrafts. Chefchaouen is a photographer’s paradise with stunning views of the Rif Mountains. Dinner in a local restaurant (at your own cost) before returning to our hotel.

Day 7: Chefchaouen - Rabat - Casablanca

Following breakfast, we travel south to Rabat, the official capital of Morocco. A guided tour will showcase Rabat's highlights, including the Royal Palace, Hassan Tower, and Oudaya Kasbah. We then continue to Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital.

Day 8: Departure from Casablanca

Transfer to Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca or return to Marrakech for your departure.
