Day 1: Marrakesh - Atlas Mountains - Ouarzazate - Boumalen Dades

Your adventure begins with an 8:00 AM departure from your Riad in Marrakesh. As we journey through the High Atlas Mountains, we’ll ascend the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2,260 meters. Enjoy breathtaking views of Berber villages and stunning landscapes along the way. Our first major stop is Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” where we’ll pause for lunch and a taste of local cuisine. Afterward, we’ll drive along the “Road of the Thousand Kasbahs,” marveling at the fascinating “sand castles” and stopping at Kalaat Mgouna, famous for its roses and the annual Rose Festival in May. The day ends in the heart of the Dades Gorge, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a comfortable hotel.

Day 2: Dades Gorges - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll depart from the Dades Gorges, heading toward Tinhir and the Todra Gorges. The lush palm groves and towering canyon walls, some reaching 300 meters, offer breathtaking views. After lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll continue to Erfoud, where we’ll visit a fossil craft workshop. Then, we make our way to the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. You’ll have time to relax with a cup of tea before embarking on a camel ride through the dunes, soaking in the clean desert air and a stunning sunset. The day concludes with a traditional dinner and a unique overnight experience in a comfortable bivouac under the starry sky.

Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani - Draa Valley - Agdez - Ouarzazate

Rise early to catch what might be the most spectacular sunrise of your life, then trek by camel across the Erg Chebbi dunes back to your hotel. After breakfast and a refreshing shower, we’ll depart for Rissani, the ancient capital of the Alaouite Sultans and a key market town for Sub-Saharan camel caravans. After exploring the vibrant souk, we’ll continue through the scenic Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s longest palm groves, dotted with charming adobe Kasbahs and Berber villages. As we head toward Ouarzazate, you’ll notice the fascinating geological formations of the Draa Valley and Ait Saoun col. We’ll arrive in Ouarzazate in the early evening for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech

After breakfast, we’ll visit the historic Kasbah Taourirt, a magnificent tribute to the Glaoui dynasty, followed by a stop at the Studio Cinema. Next, we’ll explore the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, located 30 kilometers from Ouarzazate. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has been the backdrop for many Hollywood blockbusters, including *Gladiator*, *The Mummy*, and *Alexander*. After a leisurely lunch, we’ll journey back to Marrakesh, passing through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka pass. We’ll arrive in Marrakesh early evening, where you can relax and unwind at your Riad or hotel.
