Day 1: Depart Marrakech for Dades Gorge

Begin your journey with an early morning departure from Marrakech, traveling through the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass of the High Atlas Mountains. Admire the breathtaking views as you make your way to Ait Ben Haddou, the famous UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the ksar, known for its ancient clay architecture and as a filming location for movies like Gladiator. Continue your journey to Ouarzazate, where you'll visit Kasbah Taourirt and pass through the lush Skoura Oasis. Travel onward through the Valley of Roses and reach the Dades Valley, where you can enjoy the unique rock formations known as "monkey fingers.

Day 2: Dades Gorge to Merzouga

After breakfast, begin your drive through the dramatic Todra Gorge, where you’ll marvel at the sheer rock walls that rise up 300 meters on either side. You’ll have time to walk along the riverbed and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Continue through the desert landscape to the village of Erfoud, known for its fossils, before arriving in Merzouga, the gateway to the vast Erg Chebbi dunes. In the afternoon, you’ll meet your camel caravan and embark on a magical camel trek across the golden dunes, arriving at your desert camp just in time to witness the stunning sunset. Spend the night in a luxury tented camp, enjoying traditional Berber music and an authentic Moroccan dinner under the stars.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, a truly unforgettable experience. After breakfast at the camp, spend the morning exploring the desert. You can visit the nearby village of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music, or take a 4x4 tour around the dunes to see nomadic settlements and the seasonal Lake Dayet Srij. In the afternoon, return to Merzouga for some relaxation or optional activities like sandboarding or quad biking. Later, return to your camp for another peaceful evening in the desert.

Day 4: Merzouga to Ouarzazate

After breakfast, depart from the desert and head back towards Ouarzazate, traveling through the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river valley. Enjoy the picturesque scenery, including palm groves, kasbahs, and Berber villages, as you follow the river’s path. Stop for lunch in Nkob, a small village famous for its many kasbahs. Continue your journey to Ouarzazate, where you’ll have the evening free to explore or relax at your accommodation.

Day 5: ouarzazate to marrakech

On the final day, you’ll make your way back to Marrakech, retracing your steps over the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass. Before leaving Ouarzazate, you can visit the famous Atlas Film Studios or explore the Kasbah Taourirt if you missed it on Day 1. As you journey back through the High Atlas, you'll have more opportunities to capture the stunning mountain views. Arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon, where your desert adventure will come to an end.
